the pine forest I work in is a beautifull place...there are no lights all around a part the cars going up and down but during the cold season there is not so much traffic...all around there is a beautifull silence and the stars are so magic...expecially when there is the moon...there is a little fox coming every night...I always prepare for her a little dinner and she always appreciates the dog's food I take at the supermarket...she always scrubed my rice cakes I have in my handbag but now I put it on a small tree near me...the major problem is not the solitude for me...a part when the moon is out and the place is desert...every little noise can be an allarm but...I have my little pocket light.... but the cold is my major concern...I'm slender, I put on a body cream before going out of home but it is not enought...and sometimes the customer don't like to stay inside their car...the pine forest I work in is a beautifull place but mostly for having a pic nic...

the pine forest I work in is in a district with a lot of mafia's clans...it has become a national criminal case on newspaper too...recently our autorities declared that it is mafia...yesterday 2 men has been murdered in two different streets just for a brawl...one of the brawl has been arranged by a man of the local organized crime that it is connected to mafia...I'm really sorry that I live in one of the most dangerous district of my country...expecially because the district is so small...this sounds so crazy to me...with all the big cities of my country why this happens in the small district I live? ...this has an influence on my activity and life too...

I can imagine your feelings ... it has been a while that I spent two weeks working in Palermo ... not bad in retrospect, but certainly somewhat exotic.

Even if only recently public opinion is focalizing on Ostia, this criminal context had been very problematic since the 1970s. Here several criminal organizations cohabit, fight and shared power and areas of influence. But what made very particular this municipality is the presence of very strong and well embedded local mafias (autochthonous criminal groups that adopt mafia model, without any link with traditional organizations). These groups had been developed also in others Italian region, but in Rome seems to be permanent and stronger (sometime also stronger than traditional mafias).

Mia cara, this does not sound nice at all ... Have you had any direct contact yet with the mafiosi? Are there alternative options for you, to work in a different district?

Also here in Germany the mafia influence is growing, as the press reports. As far as I can see, direct mafia organizations are not dominant yet, it seems to be more the rocker gangs (Hell's Angels, Bandidos, Osmans &etc.) who are getting traction. No good news either!
