die grossartige Aktivistin Carol Leigh ist leider am letzten Mittwoch im Alter von 71 Jahren in San Franzisko gestorben.
Unter anderen prägte sie vor über 40 Jahren den Begriff "sex worker" in den USA.
"Yesterday while visiting, Kate discovered that Carol Leigh had passed on to the big beautiful, decriminalized brothel in the sky where she will resume her sex worker rights activism from the beyond in spirit. She had coined the term "sex worker" in 1978, which was a game changer around the world. She knew more about sex worker issues than anyone, and was a brilliant artist, performer, poet, author, community organizer, sex worker, and champion of sex worker films and culture."
